The rate of the attendance allowance is determined according to the degree of help you need in performing daily activities.
There are four levels of entitlement to the allowance as of Jan 01, 2024:
Allowance at a rate of 50% - an allowance amounting to NIS 1,771 is paid to a person who requires a great deal of assistance in performing most daily activities during most hours of the day and night.
Allowance at a rate of 112% - an allowance amounting to NIS 4,099 is paid to a person who requires a great deal of assistance in performing all daily activities during most hours of the day or someone who needs constant supervision.
Allowance at a rate of 188% - an allowance amounting to NIS 6,542 is paid to a person who is completely dependent on another person to perform all daily activities during all hours of the day and night.
Allowance at a rate of 235% - paid to a person who is completely dependent on another person to perform all daily activities during all hours of the day and night, needs constant supervision and doesn't receive a supplement for disabled on respirator nor a supplement for 2 caregivers. Increment to a disabled person on a respirator
To a a handicapped person using a respiratorAnyone needing to use a respirator continuously all day and all night to replace the natural action of breathing, where cessation of the respirator's action would cause the person's breathing to stop and immediately endanger him/her.
By "respirator" is meant a machine which permanently replaces a person's breathing, and not an oxygen generator nor a device to help autonomous breathing. who has been granted a 188% entitlement level is paid an allowance increment of NIS 9,813 per month.

Please note,
The increment to a disabled on respirator can't be obtained together with an allowance at a 235% rate, those who have been approved an increment for disabled on respirator will receive an allowance at a 188% rate + the increment.
Supplement for a child up to 3 years old
The recipient of an attendance allowance of any level who has a child up to 3 years old - will receive a benefit supplement of NIS 1,106 for the child.
The supplement may be received for up to 2 children at most. The supplement is paid in addition to the child increment to the disability pension (in case the insured receives it).
Supplement for those employing 2 foreign workers
The recipient of an attendance allowance for whom a National Insurance physician has established that his medical condition and dependency requires 2 caregivers, and who, moreover, is authorized to employ 2 caregivers and actually employs 2 foreign workers - will receive a supplement of NIS 6,542 .
Please note,
The supplement can't be obtained together with an allowance at a 235% rate, those who have been approved an increment for disabled on respirator will receive an allowance at a 188% rate + the increment.
